The weekly radio address is a presidential tradition but Barack Obama, the 44th president-elect of the United States of America, has upgraded the tradition to our century. Barack will record his weekly address as a radio broadcast but will also, for the first time ever, also record the weekly address to the nation via video and release the video clip on youtube.

In this first video weekly address, President-elect Barack Obama spends a little over three minutes discussing the economy and the G-20 meeting between President Bush and the leaders of 19 other countries. This week, Barack Obama urges congress to pass a stimulus bill to hand out checks to citizens. He also encourages investment in the US infrastructure and green energy economy.
