Man Builds Parachute out of Trench Coats: Jumps off Eiffel Tower

Found this video via cracked.com. Beware, it is a bit gruesome. Franz Reichelt, a tailor, stitched together a bunch of trench coats and told everyone he could fly by using them as a parachute. To prove his point, he decided to climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower and jump.

Let’s just say Reichelt was wrong.
