Caribbean Dancers at the 2009 Dorchester Day Parade
For those not from Boston, yesterday was Dorchester Day, a day to celebrate the founding of the town of Dorchester [Dot], which later became the biggest neighborhood in the City of Boston. To celebrate, on the first Sunday of every June festivities are held, with a 3.5 mile parade from the one end of Dot to the other.
These Caribbean dancers were a big hit at the parade, especially the super wide costume that nearly filled the whole street. A few of the dancers got up close and personal while I was filming, making for a great video. Check it out! Happy Dot Day 2009!
